Famous couple Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise will soon end their 5 year marriage
Katie filed the papers on Thursday said Tom's lawyer while he asked the journalists to give a bit of privacy to the couple in this moment.
Holmes and Cruise share a daughter, 6-year-old Suri who has been in the public eye as frequent as her parents and surely Holmes will ask for a custody over her.
Katie's decision to file the divorcing papers shocked Tom, TZM said, who wasn't expecting it at all apparently. Also Holmes decided to file the papers in New York. Seems it was a tactic, because the courts in New York are more likely to give Katie the custody over Suri than the ones in California.
Rumors are saying that the reason for divorce was Scientology, a church that Cruise is part of. Holmes didn't want Suri to be dragged deep into the church. Katie, herself, was never to much involved in the church and she didn't want Tom to control decisions regarding religion.
Anyway what ever the reasons are the couple is no longer together...
